Purchased this product 3years ago as a novice. I lay a 50metre tape out with paper target; laser picked up when felt like it. It doesn't pick up oak trees/ hedges at 40yards; thought it was me. I tried 2 friends hawke models theirs picked up rabbits at 45yards no problem. Contacted Bushnell as out of warrantty unlucky. When 450model comes back under warrantty their service department tells them to give them next model up free of charge. They get alot of problems with this model; waste of £159.
