What is objective diameter?
The objective diameter refers to the inside diameter of the objective lens (the lens closest to the object you're viewing), usually measured in millimetres. A larger objective diameter will mean the optics take in a greater amount of light, providing greater definition and a brighter image. However as the objective diameter increases, so too does the size and weight of the optics.
