Optical quality is a straight "10" as it's brilliant all over and very repeatable. However, only a "6" as for a long range target 'scope it's too restrictive with only 40mins elevation and less on windage. If you shoot from 100 to 600 yards it's the dog's but extend that to 1000 and it's a pain since you're on the limit with an inclined rail. Heavy wind on and you'll be aiming off. I've two Leupold 8.5-25x50 that replaced mine...pity as I miss the optical quality but ease of use wins out.
