The wading staff itself is brill. Lightweight and breaks down to a lovely portable size but sufficient enough to give support in proper big river wading conditions. The scabbard is rubbish I binned that. Its clunky and heavy and not everyone wants that attached to their wading belt. Simms should never have got rid of the neoprene version. The retractor set up is a nonsense. I replaced all of that with a simple retractor that I can attach to myself with a quick release clip and to the handle strap.

Not the cheapest staff available but it is very well designed and mad complete with a holster and excellent retractor. Worth the money especially at Uttings price which is below the competition
