Bought this rod in a sale so it was excellent value for money. Needed a saltwater fly rod and these are excellent given their low cost. Build quality is very high and they cast a heavy saltwater fly with relative ease. If you get one wax the rod joints and you are good to go.

Had this rod since 201718 for the sole purpose of being able to cover a lot of situations and the places I fish both home and abroad and the salt...Its done everything Ive asked of it with no problem ..21gram heads into heavy winds on a beach casting a19gram di3 for small pike Streamer fishing on rivers dryfly and lure work on resevoirs.... its a good rod that can do a lot of things well..... Im not gonna list everything Ive caught species wise but its held onto some big lumps at low doubles in not favourable surroundings and kept everything together all the way to the net..Nice short casting stroke and quite a fast action but the rod loads really well with a nice progressive curve.Ive fished a lot of different lines on this rod depending on my location and where Ive been fishing.For floating and sinking lines I used scierras own brand and Rio mainstreams in different weights and all cast well and did what they were required to do ...Really good multi purpose rod in my opinion that can be used both in fr...
