This little light was purchased to do away with an old gun lamp that used a sealed lead acid battery. What a difference this led lamp makes its lighter and brighter. The red led is bright and much better that the filter on the old lamp. The IR led has transformed a very old Pulsar night sight and really lights up the area. The only downside is the lack of a dimmer switch for the red and white light although the light does have a lower power mode. All in all a great lightweight and powerful gun lamp
