I've had these for 4 months now. For the first 2 months I wore these for about 14 hours a week. Now the bottom of the tongue is starting to perish which means water seeps in from puddles and long grass. Really disappointing especially as I always clean and look after my boots.

A well made and extremely comfortable walking boot with excellent insulation in cold weather. Remains waterproof as long as its treating with a silicone boot spray every couple of days.

I was concerned that the tongue was a flimsy plastic vinyl. My worries were justified as after very little use the lacing hook on one of the tongues pulled off followed after a few weeks by one on the other boot. After a year or so of use both boots started to leak due to the flimsy plastic vinyl having pulled away where it's stitched to the toe of the boot . These boots appear similar to premium brands but they are nowhere near the same quality and I consider them to be of poor value.

Replacement pair first pair unfortunately split. One of those things. Replacement was quick easy and no fuss. Followed the instructions issued by Uttings and very impressed with service. My husband still thinks the books are great.

First pair Ive bought strangely waiting for wet weather and muddy footpaths to see how they perform . I bought these because of the great price Uttings were giving and knowledge of the make Ridgeline being fantastic water proof clothing maker .29 degrees today so come on rain we want mud !

First pair leaked like a collinder on the Titanic but second pair have so far been fine. Went stalking in the boots without breaking them in covered 12 miles and were really comfortable. Top boot so far fingers crossed no more leaks to come!

Comfortable straight out of the box; look like they are well made. I have walked about 10 miles in them so far through mud; long wet grass and woodland my feet stayed dry and warm. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is ive Not had them long enough to decide on durability.
