For rubber boots these are relatively lightweight and have good grippy soles. They are a good height on the ankle which provides support and more depth when walking through water. They are very comfortable and none of the normal initial tightness when you are growing into leather boots. And best of all no more wet feet!

Early days but this product exudes quality. How this bears out remains to be seen but I have confidence.

This is an update to my previous. Have had these boots for a little while now. Although the problem of the eyelets seems to have been resolved, the outsole is starting to come away and I imagine water ingress will happen soon. Sadly these boots are only good for one or two winter seasons. But in this time they are comfortable, warm and waterproof, but do not expect them to last. I do not think I'll buy another pair.

Thought these were the answer to wellies for walking. When the first pair arrived, the seam around the heel on one boot had separated. Utting’s replaced them quickly without a quibble. After a few outings, noticed water on first one and a few walks later the other on the inside top of the socks where the toe flexes. This progressively became worse and I could see the neoprene had come away from the lace eye seam. Have I just been unlucky as other reviews are excellent?

This is my second pair of Ptarmigan boots the first pair have lasted at least five years although there was a problem with the eyelets the new boots reflect a design change which may hopefully have addressed the problem. I have other Grubs boots to and find them very good.

Totally waterproof warm comfortable bought for dog walking for which they are perfect for slightly heavier than traditional walking boots but certainly not an issue.Very good buy
Review by Mr Neil Doherty
So far so good bought these for dogwalking and are super comfy nice compromise for someone who hates welly boots sizing on the boots maybe runs half size bigger but fine with thick socks lets hope they last as they are not cheap for a pair of hybrid wellington boots on the other hand they do feel like a quality product with an excellent vibram sole that has plenty of grip in the mud

Just what Ive been looking for to support a previously broken ankle but and keep my feet dry.

Great boots! Hoping they last the test of my hubby walking in everything wet he can find!

Ive had several pairs of these boots which tells you that I like them but also that they dont last especially well. On the plus side they are perfectly waterproof and theyre very comfortable. Ive walked 15 or 20 miles in them without a blister. On the other hand I have to replace them about once a year either because the soles have worn away or because a hole has appeared somewhere. This may just reflect the amount of use they get. I walk upwards of 2000 miles a year a lot of it over rough terrain so that may be a reasonable performance. Either way I havent found anything I like better.

Hubby prefers this boot to wellies as it provides a bit more support. They have a pretty good sole and are excellent for dog walking and possibly field sports where youre covering a range of terrain. Downside is that after a year the metal eyelets do start to pop out and the rubber does crack found this to be the case even though theyre not left out in sunlight or exposed to direct heat. Think it best to treat them with a rubber care spray once rinsed and dried along the lines of those provided by Seeland Aigle Le Chameau Hunter Joules and others. Thats what were doing now as it should lengthen the life of the rubber.

Great walking boots and very easy to clean.I have had a pair before so I was happy to purchase a new pair at a bargain price.

Fantastic boots I have used them over several years working as an outdoor instructor. I have used them as water boots for Gyhll Scrambling, Canoeing the Vibram sole gives great traction. I have recently used them with Swiftwater Rescue Teams in the recent Cumbria Floods. Couldnt fault them. They do take a while to dry out completly but thats testement to the insulation of these great boots.

These were fantastic......for three months! Then the lace eyelets fell out. Wore them every day, walking the dog and they were totally waterproof and comfortable. I should have known; fitting metal eyelets to rubber is a daft idea.
