I choose this over the Nikko Stirling Target Master and the MTC Optisan EVX. Positives: build quality and finish. Parallax range finding is superb. Functional, uncluttered sight picture. Clear, precise markings on zoom and turrets etc. Ultra smooth sidewheel operation. Negatives: the fit in the mounts was not as snug as is usual with my chosen brand - Hawke's own might be better. Battery cap was very fiddly to replace. I'd prefer the flip-up covers to have been an optional extra.

CZ.22LR, subsonics with SR6 reticule, 13x mag zeroed at 50yards, aim points are top 35, central 50, lower 60,70,80,90 & 100 yards (if not exactly then close to) at 6x(ish) middle is 50, lower points are 70,90 & 110 yards. Image is clear and bright also excellent with Pulsar Challenger GS1 NV. I also use Leopold’s VX-R & VX3L which are a lot lighter, thinner reticules, twice the price, can’t focus as close and reticule aim points that can’t match (for a .22 subsonic) the SR6. Recommended!!

I have used this scope for vermin & target shooting for over a year now on my Marlin .22RF, I have been nothing but impressed. I can shoot the same hole at 50 yds. The included sun shield is a really handy item, I mostly shoot at night but the shield keeps the rain off the glass. It keeps point of aim if on lowest or full power mag, The included large focus wheel makes night time use very easy. Well built & easy to use. I'm more than happy so am looking to buy another Hawke.
