The lids only have two positions, closed or pointing straight up vertically. The product pictures here are misleading. They give the impression that the lids angle back on opening, they don't. Moving through brush you’re going to snag them. Potential damage aside, these lid 'discs' sticking straight up in front of you hinder your general field of vision. It's just bad, ill-conceived design.
