Having trouble seeing the target with open sights i decided it was time to mount a scope on my N04. I wanted a scope in keeping with the rifle, I turned up 2 Leupold scopes the 1-4x20 and the 1.5-5x20. I decided to take a chance on the 1.5-5x20 scope. I could not be more pleased, the optics are really sharp, & as i can now see the target the N04 is going to be used more often so it was worth splashing the cash.

With the eyes not as good as they used to be I was looking for a scope to mount on my Enfield N04. I wanted a scope similar to the sniper scopes used during WW2 but not costing £1000's. I found this scope and feeling a little flush at the time bought it on a whim. This is a beautiful light scope with sharp optics and precision quality. At its minimum magnification it is like shooting over open sights yet you can ramp it up to 5x for those tricky hun head targets at 300 yards. Even after rapid firing the scope is still sound (wish I could say the same about my shoulder). OK so the scope cost more than the rifle but I can now use the scope mounted Enfield in more shooting competitions than before so for me it has been money well spent.
