Shimano 3 Piece Aero X7 Distance Feeder Rod - 13ft - 100g. The AERO x7 range is a completely newly developed range of rods for coarse/match angling. Every rod in this range has been tested over and over again by a team of pro-staff and product developers in order to get the perfect blank actions, balance, responsiveness, strength, guide setting and quiver tip actions. This resulted in the ultimate feeder rods series for competition anglers who are demanding only the very best of their material. The rods have been developed until perfection and contain some very unique features which will make the difference for the angler.
HPC High Pressure Carbon
Shimano High Pressure Carbon is a process which creates stronger, more responsive blanks. Pressure is applied to the blank surface during curing (heating) which evenly distributes the resin through the carbon fibre matrix. The result is a much stronger, more consistent performance and improved responsive.
Shimano Nano Carbon
Shimano NANO carbon is a technology which is used to build rod blanks which are on average 35% stronger and 15% lighter than a conventional rod blank. The heart of a NANO rod blank is made of a NANO carbon sheet. This sheet has a special weave which allows to use a low amount of resin which is spread into very small (nano) particles throughout the sheet. This creates the lightness, strength and responsiveness in the blank.
XT Carbon
XT Carbon is used throughout the Shimano rod range. The number following the XT (XT100), denotes the quality of carbon fibre used. The higher the number, the stronger the carbon. Where different types of carbon are combined to create the required action both numbers will be shown (XT60/40).
