It punches way above its weight for clarity of view. The field of view is small and would take some getting used to for people that dont regularly use telescopes but to pay the big extra amount for a larger field of view didnt suit me though it may do others. For the price it is a remarkably high quality product . It is ideallly suited for a treavle telescope and coupled with a lightweight tripod will allow much more of other things in the suitcase or will have a smaller carbon footprint as less fuel is used for lighter equipment...even in a car
