Im a 38 chest and got a large which fits me nicely. The issue on size (coming up small) is probably more significant if youre a bit plump around the belly as this vest has an elasticated band which could possibly be a little constricting. One very small pocket on the inside (big enough for ear plugs but not much more) isnt that handy in reality. Would be nice if this pocket was slightly larger to hold a few bits.
