I have owned the Opticron Imagic BGA VHD 8x42 for 5 years and liked them so much I decided I had to have the 10x42 as well. Ive owned 3 different alpha brands over the last 40 years and the only marginal difference is the depth of field you really are splitting hairs. They genuinely are so close to the optical performance of alpha binoculars costing more than twice as much that they will make you question whether you are paying for the name rather than the quality.
