I needed a waterproof jacket rather than current showerproofs. The jacket has a great lightweight feel and design. As described on sellers site it is also very waterproofI went out in a heavy downpour monsoon style and kept dry. Excellent product recommended!

This is a great jacket. It is lined with a good drape material outer that is quiet and soft. The cut of the coat is great; plenty of room in the sleeves without being ridiculously wide. I am a 42 chest and the Large size jacket fits really well since it is a 43 fit not too roomy; enough to wear a fleece underneath but not gaping with just a Tshirt. Two great extending pockets at the front that have a zip closure on each covered by a press studded storm flap. Ideal for cartridges and able to keep things secure and dry. I like the handwarmer pockets hidden behind the front pockets which allows you to have immediately accessible pockets yet leave the front pockets for other stuff. The hood is adjustable and has a wired peak great to allow shaping and to get it to standoff when raining so that you keep the rain out of your eyes. Great jacket if you want to stand still. Breathability is very poor. Took the dog for a slow walk in -2 temperatures in light snow. Time I got home my fleece would have been drier without the jacket. Pity because fit and no rustle material is good and its warm when you stand still. As soon as you start moving the condensation on the inside makes it very uncomfortable. Think it will go in the bin as not even suitable for washing the car.

Have tried many coats/jackets and have always sent them back from other brands. But I can now say Ive found the perfect jacket!! Great for nice and light weight with another room for layers! Extremely warm and great quality. In my eyes a bargain compared to other brands and the prices they charge. Well done Ridgeware a great product!

Great jacket fits well looks good and is waterproof. Sadly I cant give it more stars as the material is not as robust as I had hoped. I have already snagged a sleeve just lightly brushing past a hedge. Great for keeping dry around town.
