Hawke Sidewinder ED 10-50x60 SF Rifle Scope. Packed with performance enhancing features including patented, locking and interchangeable turrets give the user an option to customise the click value from ¼ MOA / 1/8 MOA or 1⁄10 MRAD.

Designed for full-bore target and FT shooting, Sidewinder ED’s are packed with performance enhancing features required for accuracy. This high magnification side focus riflescope is designed to meet the very specific requirements and demands of target shooters with precision engineered components, a unique illuminated (red) glass etched reticle and chromatic aberration reducing Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass.

Patented exposed, locking and interchangeable turrets give the user an option to customise the click value from 1/4 MOA to either 1/8 MOA or 1/10 MRAD.

The Sidewinder ED features the TMX reticle, developed for long range target shooting and around the common principles of Mil Dot spacing when magnification is set to 20x.

LENSES
Designed exclusively for the 5x ratio optical system, all lenses are precision ground to exacting specifications before being fully multi-coated. Only grade A lenses are index matched to each other, improving the optical characteristics.

TURRETS INCLUDED
Supplied with 1/4 MOA, 1/8 MOA and 1/10 MOA turrets incorporating a locking mechanism. These patented turrets can be removed and exchanged for optional turrets with different click values while keeping the scope gas tight.

SCOPE TUBE FINISH
Hard wearing, anti-scratch, matte black anodising. All component parts are colour matched.

ED GLASS
Extra-low Dispersion glass for optimum clarity and sharpness. Crucial when using high power zoom.

ACCESSORIES
Threaded objective designed to accommodate supplied sunshade and flip-up cover.

MULTI-COATINGS
18 layer fully multi-coated optics. Each lens is multi-coated throughout the optical system with microscopic layers of magnesium fluoride – guaranteeing sharpness, clarity, reduced flare and high light transmission.

ANTI-REFLECTIVE TUBE
Controlled internal light, by means of an anti-reflective surface ensures the brightest image with no ‘whiting-out’ or stray light reaching the eye.

CONSTRUCTION
30mm mono-tube Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machined out of a solid billet of aluminium. High grade alloys used for strength and low weight. All component parts precision engineered to exacting tolerances.

SIDE FOCUS PARALLAX
Parallax free shooting from 10 yards to infinity. Reduced parallax error at all ranges for increased on-target accuracy.

HOLDING A ZERO
Coiled erector spring, which will not relax or flatten with use, holds the erector tube rail ensuring reticle remains zeroed and the point of impact remains stable at all times.

HIGH POWER ZOOM
10-50x magnification with integrated soft contact rubber zoom with smooth and precise operation. Magnification markings precisely calibrated.

EXTRA-LOW DISPERSION GLASS
ED Glass incorporated into the objective element assembly, produces clear and crisp images with reduced chromatic aberration.

SIDE FOCUS PARALLAX WHEEL
Range finding and parallax free shooting is assisted thanks to the oversized 4 inch side focus wheel that attaches directly on to the central spine using Hawke’s patented side wheel system. An optional 6 inch side wheel is available.

STEPLESS ILLUMINATION RHEOSTAT
Precise control of the reticle illumination is helped with the stepless rheostat positioned at 45° on the ocular. Levels have been calibrated from bright to ultra-low.

LOCKING FAST FOCUS OCULAR
Set it and forget it. Quickly achieve sharp reticle focus and then lock it down to avoid accidentally adjusting dioptre settings.

FREE X-ACT SOFTWARE
With use of the FREE Hawke X-ACT app shooters can calculate with deadly accuracy which aim-point they must use depending on their target distance. Available on iPhone, Android, Mac and PC.

INTERCHANGEABLE TURRETS
Interchangeable, locking and resettable exposed turrets allow for quick, yet precise adjustments.

Supplied as standard with a 1/4 MOA click value which can be exchanged for optional 1/8 MOA or 1/10 MRAD click turrets, allowing the user to choose the click value to suit the targeting situation or their personal preference.

Hawke’s patented turrets can be removed and exchanged without exposing the internal elements to dirt, water or moisture and will keep the nitrogen purged gas inside to prevent fogging in cold weather conditions.

(1) Locking dial. (2) Resettable to zero ‘0’. (3) Turret rotation scale. (4) Locking collar.

INSTALLATION
By simply unscrewing the locking collar the turret can be lifted off and removed from the scope. Each turret has indexed teeth to ensure that the location and alignment are kept during installation. Push down on the turret, screw the locking collar back down and the scope is ready for use.

1/4 MOA TURRETS (SUPPLIED)
1 click = 1/4 MOA = 1/4 inch at 100 yards. Supplied as standard with the Sidewinder ED 10-50x60. The 1/4 MOA turrets offer familiar click adjustment to shooters, while still giving fast, accurate point of impact adjustment.

TMX Reticle
The TMX reticle was developed for long range target shooting and around the common principles of Mil-Dot spacing when magnification is set to 20x. As with Mil-Dot spacing, the series of larger hash marks represent a unit of angle called an mrad (milliradian) or mil for short. This is equal to a gap of 3.6in at 100 yards, or 3 feet at 1000 yards.

Allowing for 8 mil spacing of hold-over to the outer edge of the field of view, along with 3 mil spacing of windage in each direction, the TMX is a versatile reticle that provides aim points no matter how extreme the conditions.

The grid formation features etched reference numbers for ease of use and offers a clear target view due to the use of fine dots. Each cross has a see-through gap, allowing an unobstructed view of the target.

Should come with the MRAD turrets as standard, as it has a MRAD based reticle installed. Fitting MOA turrets at the factory as standard, and then charging extra for the MRAD turrets is purely cashing-in on users lack of knowledge. At this price it has some serious competition from scopes that have matching reticles and turrets (and are FFP to boot).
