All materials are good quality, knife blade is sharp out of the box. The curly birch is well selected with good grain pattern. A tip to consider is to heat the brass bolster rather than fit it cold - you get a better hold. hidden tang style requires epoxy, I used devcon 2 ton - you wont get better. I customised mine with some additional buffalo horn and an antler scabbard, it looks better than the off the shelf knives. However if you want a good looking basic knife its all in the box.

got this today and it was in a very nice box. everything inside was excellent. nice piece of wood and bone with nicely finished blade. down sides; internal packaging wasn't brilliant everything was left to move freely. the blade protector was a little shabby. but overall it was a great buy and everything came quickly and well packaged.
