Review by Richard Sharpe

Build quality good, good styling, looks like part of pistol. Laser not good enough until light poor and loose once on weapon. Dare not tighten grub screws anymore incase of breaking grub screws. Not impressed from a usually quality Umarex extra. Would be better with a dove tail mount plus a beamshot laser or even at a push a Varmaint hunter which would give you light aswell. Very poor. All the Umarex extras for my Beretta Storm CX4, Walther Sight, TMB II Bipod Accessory rail make this look cheap and nasty.

Externally, the laser unit is comprised of a black plastic outer casing, with a black metal chassis. Secured to the frame of the pistol by four allen grub screws, it sits flush against the trigger guard. The unit has a small switch on its right hand side, which can be activated by extending your trigger finger, without moving your hand from the pistol grip. When switched on, a small red LED illuminates on either side of the trigger guard; helpful in low-light conditions. Windage and elevation adjustments are made with an allen key; it took me a dozen rounds to zero it at five yards for a half inch spread. Functionally, the laser sight removes the need for adjustable open sights. Styling picks up the slide fore-end detail and copies the grip chequering, which makes the unit appear less of an obvious "bolt on", especially on a blued weapon. If uninstalled, the unit will leave four small impressions on the pistol frame, where the grub screws were tightened.
