I was looking for a hollow point for pest control. I tried three different pellets; Crosman Destroyer didnt suit my gun (Umarex 850 Magnum rated at 11.4 ft.lb). These were indistinguishable from Bisley Pest Control in terms of accuracy and so I tried to compare expansion. I simulated a head shot by attaching the metal lid from a jam jar to a 2.5 gallon container filled with water (the lid was there to substitute for a rats skull). A shot at approximately 15 metres resulted in no apparent distortion of the pellet. Hand N seem to use a very high quality lead and I suspect this is a little hard and resists distortion. The Excite is a good pellet as you would expect from H and N but did not give the expansion I was hoping for.
