I've used this for spotting foxes instead of lamping, after you get used to the focus, brightness & infared controls it works well up to 150 yds. I've picked up fox and rabbit eye reflection at 200%2B yds. It gives you the advantage of not spooking pray byswitching lamps on and off and allows you to get within 100 yds. Great when used from a high seat. If you look through the nightvision optic for any length of time you'll suffer from bright eye so when spotting use your non rifle scope eye.

The first unit that I purchased developed a problem after approximately nine months this was replaced with no problems after a further fourteen months the replacement also developed a problem and I had only turned it on twice. During a phone call to the agents for Yukon in the UK I was asked the make of battery's I was using when I told them I used Duracell they told me that were problems with Duracell battery's with all yukon products. They never told me this when I returned the first one!
