Nikon Extreme binoculars feature an all-metal chassis with lens fittings housed in a tough, lightweight polycarbonate body shell. Like all Nikon All Terrain Binoculars, the EX is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for total waterproof, fogproof and shockproof performance in any environment. I find these Nikon binoculars a very well made product and waterproof as well with excellent clarity and easily focuses and suitable for wearing or not glasses.

Really impressed with the quality of these binoculars. Chromatic aberration is really well controlled even in backlit situations. Quite surprised that the higher magnification lets me see noticeably more detail at distance (250m plus) than my 8x Leica's even in relatively dull conditions but only if I support the binos on something. Great for birdwatching at my local reservoir, I simply rest them on top of my camera which is on a monopod.

Good product at vg price. 12X mag provide excellent images with a good FOV no problem using w/o tripod.

I like this Bino. Great price for a great Bino. Clear vision at all distances. 12 X mag. not a problem birdwatching, especially for longer distances. What good value at Uttings. Why spend more?
