I bought this bothy bag for use as shelter in the mountains during support of a 24-hr challenge. I knew I would have opportunities to rest, but due to the exertion knew I would be at risk of getting cold. I also knew I might be using the bothy bag solo. With the caveat that the winds were pretty light, the bag did exactly what I wanted - it cut wind chill, seemed to warm up a little, and was ok for use by just me, by pulling the bag smaller and using packs as the other 'pole'. Lightweight too.
