Hawke Vantage HD 30 1-8x24 Riflescope
The Hawke Vantage HD 30 1-8x24 riflescope is designed for shooters who need fast target acquisition at close range combined with the versatility to engage targets at extended distances. With a wide-angle optical system and a flexible 1-8x magnification range, it suits dynamic hunting scenarios, practical shooting, and driven game environments where speed and precision both matter.
Built on a strong 30mm mono-tube chassis and equipped with Hawke’s H2 optical system, the scope delivers a bright, clear image and dependable mechanical performance. Its compact 24mm objective lens and intuitive controls make it a practical low-power variable optic for rifles used in varied terrain and lighting conditions.
Craftsmanship & Construction
The riflescope is constructed around a durable 30mm aluminium mono-tube chassis designed to withstand recoil and regular field use. This solid design improves strength and helps maintain optical alignment under demanding shooting conditions.
Hawke’s H2 optical system uses fully multi-coated lenses with 11 layers of coating to improve light transmission and reduce glare. The wide-angle optical design supports a generous field of view, making it easier to track moving targets and maintain situational awareness while shooting.
Fit & Comfort
The scope features a fast-focus eyepiece that allows shooters to quickly adjust the reticle to suit their eyesight, ensuring a sharp and comfortable viewing experience. A high-torque zoom ring provides smooth and reliable magnification adjustments.
Its compact form factor and balanced weight make it well suited to modern sporting rifles and hunting rifles where agility and quick handling are important.
Waterproof Performance
The riflescope is nitrogen purged and sealed to resist internal fogging caused by temperature changes. This construction ensures the optic remains waterproof, shockproof, and fog proof, allowing it to perform reliably in challenging outdoor environments.

Reticles

L4A Dot (4x) Reticle |
Circle Dot (8x) Reticle |
Tactical BDC-5.56 (8x) Reticle |
L4A Dot Reticle (4x)
A variant of the classic L4 reticle, the L4A Dot (4x) uses a more open outer post design to keep more of the target visible while aiming. 6ft spacing from center to post at 100yds when on 4x magnification. This is equivalent to 2m at 100m.
Circle Dot (8x) Reticle
Designed specifically to help fast target acquisition during Battue and driven hunt. Features a bright red centre dot and illuminated circle for instant aim.
Tactical BDC - 5.56 (8x)
Working with your bullet's trajectory the Tactical BDC - 5.56 (8x) reticle, exclusively from Hawke, provides usable aim points for AR-pattern rifles and pistols. The Tactical BDC - 5.56 (8x) is built specifically around the ballistics of 5.56 cartridges, making holdover accuracy more possible than ever before.
The glass-etched BDC (bullet drop compensating) reticle features an illuminated center dot and horseshoe for fast target acquisition, and windage markers for enhanced accuracy.
Initial zero can be performed at 50 yards. This will provide good accuracy using only the central aim point out to 200 yards. For the best accuracy and proper use of the BDC, zero should be confirmed at 200 yards and adjusted accordingly. The BDC reticle can also be used for other cartridges and ammunition by adjusting the magnification.
Alternatively, the aim points can be calibrated for distances in meters by reducing the magnification slightly.
