Abu Garcia Beast 300 Low Profile Reel - Right Hand

The Abu Garcia Beast™ 300 Low Profile Reel is a large-format, palm-friendly baitcast reel engineered for anglers fishing heavier, high-resistance lures. It is positioned for applications such as A-Rigs and swimbaits up to 8 inches, where increased cranking power, drag output and structural strength are required compared to standard low profile reels.

The 300 Right Hand model (BST300LP) in the 5.8:1 gear ratio is designed to deliver controlled retrieve speed with substantial torque, allowing anglers to maintain consistent lure action and apply sustained pressure when fighting powerful fish.

The Beast™ 300 features an X2-Cräftic™ aluminium frame and handle sideplate, providing a rigid foundation for higher load fishing. An A-Symmetric body design is specified to keep the reel compact and ergonomic despite its increased capacity and power. Internally, an Oversized Brass Duragear Gen III system is used to support long-term gearing durability under sustained resistance.

The reel is built around a bearing system of 7 stainless steel HPCR™ bearings plus 1 roller bearing, intended to maintain smooth operation. A GullWing™ sideplate and a 95 bowed aluminium handle with oversized knobs are included to improve access, grip and overall handling.

Drag performance is delivered by the Power Stack Carbon Matrix™ Drag System, which is stated to provide up to 30 lb of maximum drag on the 5.8:1 model. A drag clicker is also included, offering audible feedback during adjustment and under load.
