HIKMICRO Habrok PRO HQ50L Thermal (640x512) Binoculars w/LRF FAQs
How far can the Habrok PRO HQ50L detect heat signatures?
The 50 mm F1.0 thermal lens and 640 × 512 sensor provide a detection range of up to 2600 m. This enables users to scan large landscapes and identify distant heat sources with confidence. Even in fog, rain, or mixed terrain, the sub-15 mK sensitivity helps maintain clarity.
What advantages does the 4K day/night camera offer?
The 4K CMOS sensor delivers high-resolution colour images in daylight and detailed black-and-white images at night when paired with the IR illuminator. This dual capability allows seamless transition between thermal and optical modes, depending on conditions and identification needs.
Does the image stabilisation make a noticeable difference?
Yes. Image stabilisation helps reduce hand shake, which becomes more noticeable at higher magnifications. This makes prolonged observation more comfortable and ensures clearer image detail, especially when examining distant subjects.
How effective is the built-in 1000 m laser rangefinder?
The Class 1 rangefinder measures distances from 10 m to 1000 m with ±1 m precision. This is particularly useful for hunters and search teams who need accurate ranging to plan movements or assess targets. It integrates smoothly into both thermal and optical viewing modes.
Can the IR illuminator be replaced or upgraded?
Yes. The device uses a replaceable 850 nm IR illuminator, allowing users to swap it if needed or adjust performance for different conditions. This enhances flexibility for night-time observation and ensures continued functionality over long-term use.
How long does the battery last during real-world use?
The replaceable Li-ion battery provides over 7 hours of operation even in cold environments with power-intensive features enabled. Two batteries are included, ensuring extended field time with minimal interruption. External USB-C power can also be used when needed.
Is the device comfortable for people who wear glasses?
Yes. With 15 mm eye relief and foldable rubber eyecups, the Habrok PRO accommodates glasses comfortably. Users can fine-tune focus and diopter adjustments to achieve a sharp, immersive view through the OLED display.
Does the binocular store photos and videos internally?
The device includes 64 GB of built-in EMMC storage for recording thermal and optical photos, videos, and audio. Users can review media on the device or transfer it via the HIKMICRO Sight App. This makes documenting observations straightforward and convenient.
Is the Habrok PRO suitable for harsh outdoor environments?
Its IP67 rating means it is fully dustproof and protected against immersion in water. Combined with wide operating temperatures from -30 °C to +55 °C, the binocular is engineered for demanding field use. This durability makes it dependable in mountain, woodland, coastal, or rescue scenarios.
How adjustable is the viewing setup?
Users can customise interpupillary distance from 60–74 mm and fine-tune each eyepiece using the diopter range of –5D to +3D. These adjustments ensure a precise fit, improving clarity and reducing eye strain during long observation sessions.
What smart features support navigation and positioning?
The built-in digital magnetic compass and GPS allow users to maintain orientation and tag locations while observing. These features are particularly valuable for search teams, surveyors, and anyone operating over large areas where situational awareness is crucial.
