I had some reservations about a zoom binoculars they are supposed to be not as good as a single distance lens array but I know the Nikon brand is excellent from my camera lenses. In fact these binoculars are very sharp and mostly with a bright clear view of the subject. The only time the image is darker is at the full x24 magnification which is something I expected to happen and I tried them on a particularly dull grey wet day when they arrived! They are excellent value compact and light enough to carry easily and actually focus closer than the stated closest focus distance. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a similar pair.
