Pulsar Thermion 3 LRF XR60 Thermal Riflescope
Product Details
Manufacturer code: PUL-76589 | Our code: 148034
The Pulsar Thermion 3 LRF XR60 thermal riflescope combines a 640×480 thermal sensor, a 60mm F1.0 objective and 4–40× magnification with integrated laser rangefinding. Its 4× starting view gives a larger initial image than the XT60, while system NETD below 18mK supports observation of subtle temperature differences. With up to 14 hours of stated battery life, it is the Thermion 3 option for customers prioritising higher starting magnification and extended runtime.
Key features
- Sensitive thermal imaging with system NETD below 18mK.
- 4× base magnification for a closer initial view, with smooth adjustment up to 40×.
- Conventional eyepiece zoom ring with a removable throw lever and reversible zoom direction.
- Central focusing mechanism designed for access with either hand.
- Integrated laser rangefinder with single, scanning and True Horizontal Distance measurements.
- Eyepiece proximity sensor that puts the display into standby between observations.
A closer starting view with sensitive thermal imaging
The XR60 uses a 640×480, 12µm sensor behind a 60mm F1.0 objective. Its system NETD below 18mK helps distinguish small temperature differences, making thermal sensitivity a particular strength when the scene offers limited contrast.
At its lowest magnification, the scope presents a horizontal view of 12.8m at 100m. This is a narrower, more magnified starting image than the XT60, so the choice comes down to how much surrounding ground you want to see at once. The XR60 favours a closer initial view; the XT60 gives you more width.
Three sensitivity amplification settings let you adjust the image for different conditions. Nine colour palettes provide further choice over how heat differences appear, with the image presented on a 2560×2560 AMOLED display.
Smooth zoom control and central focusing
A physical zoom ring on the eyepiece provides stepless adjustment through the magnification range. The removable throw lever makes the ring easier to locate without looking away from the image, and the zoom direction can be reversed through the settings.
The focusing control is positioned on the central turret rather than at the objective. This brings focus adjustment closer to the shooter and makes it accessible with either hand. A circular control layout, function wheel and revised menu interface provide access to the scope’s digital settings.
Two Picture-in-Picture modes let you enlarge an area of interest while retaining the main view. The rounded central option offers an alternative to the conventional inset window.
Distance measurement with three rangefinding modes
The slimline laser rangefinder is integrated beside the objective, preserving the scope’s familiar profile. It measures up to 1,200m with stated accuracy of ±1m.
- Single measurement: take an individual distance reading at the press of a button.
- Scanning mode: receive continuously updated measurements while moving across the scene.
- True Horizontal Distance: obtain the effective horizontal distance when observing uphill or downhill.
The integrated ballistic calculator combines measured distance with your configured ballistic profile to provide a suggested point of aim. Stream Vision Ballistics compatibility supports ammunition-specific profiles, with ballistic information and suggested corrections shown on screen.
The stated thermal detection distance is up to 3,100m. This describes detection capability, rather than a distance at which an animal can necessarily be identified or a shot taken.
Battery life for extended sessions
The XR60’s dual battery system offers up to 14 hours of operation, depending on temperature. That longer stated runtime is a useful distinction from the XT60 when comparing the two models for extended periods of observation.
A proximity sensor recognises when your eye is away from the eyepiece and places the display into standby. Bringing the scope back to your eye restores the screen, reducing unnecessary display use between observations. The hinged battery cover also helps prevent the cover being misplaced during a battery change in the dark.
Recording, playback and mobile connectivity
Capture photographs and video with audio to the scope’s 128GB internal memory. Recording can be started manually, triggered by recoil, or supported by Shadow recording’s temporary 30-second buffer to preserve footage when you press record after the moment has begun.
Stream Vision 2 connects the riflescope to a smartphone or tablet for mobile viewing, remote adjustments, file management and firmware updates. The app’s AI Shot Detection feature adds editable shot markers to recorded footage, helping you find relevant moments without searching through an entire recording.

Frequently asked questions
How does the XR60 compare with the XT60?
The XR60 offers a 4× starting magnification, up to 40× zoom and up to 14 hours of stated runtime. The Thermion 3 LRF XT60 has a higher-resolution 1280×1024 sensor and approximately twice the horizontal field of view at its 2× starting magnification, making it the alternative when a wider view matters more.
Does the XR60 fit conventional riflescope mounts?
It uses a 30mm mounting tube for compatible riflescope rings. Ring height and clearance still need to suit both the scope and your rifle; a matching tube diameter alone does not establish complete mounting compatibility.
Available Reticles
The XR60 provides 10 electronic reticle shapes with nine colour options, including scalable reticles that retain their angular dimensions as magnification changes. One Shot, Zoom and Freeze Zeroing methods are available, alongside five individual shooting profiles and support for 50 zeroing distances.
