Product Details

Manufacturer code: PUL-76547     |     Our code: 139022

The Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 Pro thermal riflescope pairs a sensitive 640 × 480 sensor with a 50mm f/1.0 lens. Its 2x starting magnification and 12.4° horizontal field of view provide a broad initial view, while the traditional 30mm tube integrates with standard scope rings.

Key features

  • 640 × 480 thermal sensor with adjustable image processing.
  • 50mm f/1.0 objective lens with variable digital magnification.
  • Picture-in-Picture for a magnified inset within the wider scene.
  • Selectable electronic reticles and stored zeroing profiles.
  • Standard 30mm ring mounting.
  • Built-in image and video recording with smartphone connectivity.

Thermal image and field of view

The 640 × 480, 17µm sensor works with a 50mm f/1.0 objective lens. At the 2x starting magnification, the horizontal field of view is 12.4°, equivalent to 21.8m at 100m. Digital zoom provides a closer view when you want to inspect an object already located.

The quoted detection range is up to 1,800m. This is a detection figure, not an identification guarantee; usable detail depends on the subject, distance and conditions.

Adjust image processing to the conditions

Sensor NETD is below 25mK, with system NETD below 18mK. Thermal sensitivity helps distinguish small temperature differences between a subject and its surroundings. Sensitivity amplification, brightness and contrast controls let you adjust the image as thermal contrast changes. A smoothing filter provides further adjustment. Choose from 9 thermal colour palettes with supporting current firmware to change the presentation of temperature differences.

Magnification and Picture-in-Picture

Picture-in-Picture displays a magnified inset while retaining the wider scene in the main viewing area. This allows closer examination of an object without filling the entire display with the zoomed view. Magnification can be adjusted through the 2–16x range.

Mounting, reticles and stored settings

The 30mm tube is designed for suitable standard scope rings. Selectable electronic reticles, stored zeroing profiles and adjustable image settings provide control over the display for different setups. Picture-in-Picture retains the surrounding scene during closer examination. The metal housing has IPX7 waterproof protection and a published maximum recoil rating of 6,000J.

Rechargeable power

An internal rechargeable battery works alongside a removable APS2 pack. The external pack can be replaced during longer sessions, and USB-C supports external power. Actual endurance depends on the battery configuration, temperature and use of digital features.

Recording and smartphone connectivity

Capture still photographs and video with sound directly to the 16GB internal memory. Stream Vision 2 connects a compatible Android or iOS smartphone or tablet for live viewing, remote control, downloading files and firmware updates. Dual-band Wi-Fi supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections.

Compare with similar models

Thermion 2 XP50 Pro or Thermion 2 LRF XP50 Pro?

Compare the Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XP50 Pro. The LRF model adds an integrated 800m laser rangefinder to the same sensor resolution, lens and 2x starting magnification. Choose according to whether ranging should be built into the riflescope.

Thermion 2 XP50 Pro or Thermion 2 LRF XL50?

Compare the Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL50. The XL50 combines a 1024 × 768 sensor with a lower 1.75x starting magnification, wider 14° view and integrated rangefinder. The XP50 Pro uses a 640 × 480 sensor and has lower published NETD figures.
