1 Person Tents | Lightweight Solo Tents

Find a one-person tent for solo backpacking, bikepacking and wild camping. Our range includes lightweight Terra Nova and Wild Country shelters, from compact designs for fastpacking and endurance events to roomier solo tents with practical equipment storage.

Choose your balance of weight and space

For trips where carrying less weight is a priority, the Terra Nova Laser Pulse 1 combines double-wall construction with a maximum weight of 593 g. Its compact sleeping area and small packed size suit solo fastpacking and adventure racing.

The Terra Nova Laser Lite 1 offers additional inner length and sitting height, with an adjustable connected flysheet and inner. Compare those dimensions alongside carrying weight to decide how much room you want at camp.

Free-standing shelters and adaptable awnings

Wild Country Helm Compact 1 and Helm Elite 1 tents combine free-standing construction with porch storage and a rear equipment area accessible from inside. The Elite reduces maximum weight by 340 g while retaining the same packed dimensions.

For a different layout, the Wild Country Halny Elite 1 has a zipped flysheet that can form an awning with a trekking pole. The Norte Compact 1 also offers an awning option, alongside a wider inner and ventilation at both ends.

Check the fit for your solo setup

Compare floor dimensions with your sleeping mat, then consider sitting height and where your pack will go. Porch space can keep equipment outside the sleeping area, while packed length matters when fitting a tent into bikepacking luggage.

The Terra Nova Laser Lite AS is another option for solo use, with capacity for a snug two-person arrangement when needed. Explore our complete backpacking tent range if you would prefer a larger shelter.
