Product Details

Manufacturer code: PUL-77511     |     Our code: 142521

The Pulsar Telos XQ35 thermal imaging monocular pairs a sensitive 384 × 288 sensor with a 35mm f/1.0 lens and a 3x starting magnification. Separate focus and zoom rings provide direct control of the image, while the removable LPS7i battery and rubber-armoured housing support regular field use.

Key features

  • 384 × 288 thermal sensor with adjustable image processing.
  • Variable magnification and Picture-in-Picture viewing.
  • Separate focus and zoom rings around the objective lens.
  • Selectable colour palettes and viewing adjustments.
  • Removable LPS7i rechargeable battery.
  • Built-in recording and Stream Vision 2 smartphone connectivity.

Thermal image and field of view

The 384 × 288, 17µm sensor works with a 35mm f/1.0 objective lens. At the 3x starting magnification, the horizontal field of view is 10.7°, equivalent to 18.7m at 100m. Digital zoom provides a closer view when you want to inspect an object already located.

The quoted detection range is up to 1,300m. This is a detection figure, not an identification guarantee; usable detail depends on the subject, distance and conditions.

Adjust image processing to the conditions

Sensor NETD is below 25mK, with system NETD below 18mK. Thermal sensitivity helps distinguish small temperature differences between a subject and its surroundings. Sensitivity amplification, brightness and contrast controls let you adjust the image as thermal contrast changes. A smoothing filter provides further adjustment. Choose from 9 thermal colour palettes with supporting current firmware to change the presentation of temperature differences.

Magnification and Picture-in-Picture

Picture-in-Picture displays a magnified inset while retaining the wider scene in the main viewing area. This allows closer examination of an object without filling the entire display with the zoomed view. Magnification can be adjusted through the 3–12x range.

Focus, zoom and an adaptable design

Separate rings around the objective lens provide direct access to focus and digital magnification. A reversible hand strap and configurable controls let you adapt operation for left- or right-handed use. Menu ordering can be configured to prioritise frequently used functions. The rubber-armoured reinforced housing provides grip and IPX7 waterproof protection. Telos is designed for Pulsar’s hardware upgrade programme; available upgrades depend on the model and current service options.

Rechargeable power

The removable LPS7i rechargeable battery can be exchanged for a separately purchased spare during longer outings. Quoted endurance is up to 8.5 hours at 22°C. USB-C supports charging and external power. Actual endurance depends on temperature, recording and wireless use. The LPS7i battery also supports wireless charging.

Recording and smartphone connectivity

Capture still photographs and video with sound directly to the 64GB internal memory. Stream Vision 2 connects a compatible Android or iOS smartphone or tablet for live viewing, remote control, downloading files and firmware updates. Dual-band Wi-Fi supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz connections.

Compare with similar models

Telos XQ35 or Telos LRF XQ35?

Compare the Pulsar Telos LRF XQ35. The LRF version uses the same 384 × 288 sensor and 3–12x magnification but adds a built-in 1,000m laser rangefinder. Choose according to whether you need direct distance measurements.

Telos XQ35 or Telos XP50?

Compare the Pulsar Telos XP50. The XP50 adds a 640 × 480 sensor, wider 12.4° horizontal view and 2.5x starting magnification. Its sensor and system NETD ratings are also lower, making sensitivity a concrete consideration alongside resolution.
