Bought this as an upgrade to my entry Orvis encounter kit which i bought 2 years ago when I first decided to try fly fishing. Im not disappointed it is a significant improvement and I can see and feel the quality difference. My casting has definitely improved and it is a joy to use. I cant imagine spending more on a rod now as this is everything I need so definitely value for money.
