These are a fantastic pair of binoculars which I use for birding. I have only been using them for a couple of weeks but so far they have a good solid feel about them and the image you get is sharp and clear. I was a bit concerned about purchasing 10x42 as I have always used 8x40 in the past but it is not a problem and I am glad I went for the higher magnification. I looked at other binoculars in the same price bracket (Zeiss and Swarovski) which were of a similar quality and feel to the Leica but I could not justify the extra cost for what is in effect the same experience.

Ive not had much chance to use them so far but impressed with the quality also like the idea of the compact carry case/action strap. better than a solid bulky case.
