Leica 1.8x Extender For APO Televid Angled Spotting Scopes. When you don’t want to miss any of nature’s fascinating details, you need to get closer. That is why Leica has developed the Extender 1.8x for Leica APO-Televid spotting scopes (angled viewing). In combination with the Leica Eyepiece, it allows 45- up to 90-fold magnification. With this unprecedented expansion of the zoom range, wildlife, nature and astronomical observations as well as digiscoping become an even greater pleasure. An integrated, automatic lock on the bayonet connector allows quick and easy attachment of the extender between the spotting scope and eyepiece. Thus, the Leica APO Televid can then be adapted to all applications in no time and becomes even more versatile.

It does what it says top quality as ever from Leica superb optics and a huge increase in magnification when paired with the right scope. Needs a lot of light be prepared for that and you wont be disappointed. A lot of money for one lens though. Would be nice if it came with a soft case as the light requirements mean Im going to be popping it on and off the scope in the field a lot not the greatest conditions for open optics.

I have only used this twice in very dull conditions and so far so good it is dark at full magnification but that is to be expected but the rest of it is very sharp.I know this is not a propper review as I have not had long enough I will do this properly once I have had it for a year or so to evaluate it properly
