Swarovski TLS APO Apochromat Telephoto Lens System for ATX/STX Spotting Scopes. The TLS-APO is a veritable camera lens that can be used with any DSLR (with an appropriate T-Ring) and slides right over the eyepiece module.

For Digiscoping with your APS-C/DX Format SLR Camera

The right choice for anyone who appreciates top-quality digiscoping; no matter whether you’re quickly switching between observing and taking photos or waiting in a photo hide to take the perfect close-up of an otter.

This is precisely why the TLS APO was developed as a complete system with the new ATX/STX spotting scopes. Its excellent optical quality and 30-mm focal length make it particularly attractive to the most discerning of digiscopers.

DSLR Cameras
The TLS-APO slides right over the eyepiece module and comes with a built-in 30mm pancake camera lens that was developed as a complete system to be combined with the ATX/STX spotting scopes. The Swarovski TLS APO makes it easier than ever take photos with your DSLR camera through the Swarovski ATX or STX modular scope as all you need to do is attach your camera body and T-ring (sold separately) to the TLS APO and use the included DR-X sleeve to slide it over the scope eyepiece, and you are ready to start digiscoping.

Works well with the Nikon adapter ring. Just taken my first digiscoping pictures with it. Very happyquick and easy to use.

Not had it very long so far have found it not the easiest thing to use but its all a matter of getting used to it after using a camera with a lens on.

This system is the reason I did not look too deep into other makes, its a proper job. One thing I was unable to find out, and non of the online videos tell you is the amount of light lost. Although the full frame version is not out yet, I am thinking that I will just use it on my Canon 6D (and crop) because of the better IQ at high ISO unless a wall to wall sun is on the cards. Only had for a week so still lots of real life stuff to discover but so far very happy and would recommend.
