Been wanting a pair of these boots for a long time finally made it With time and patience. They will be ready later this year
Review by Mr B.
This is my second pair of Tofanes. My previous pair giving many years of reliable performance never had wet feet over thousands of miles of hiking in the (very wet) Scottish Welsh English mountains. The Norwegian welt allows resoleing effectively doubling the lifespan.

2nd Pair of Zamberlands the build quality is second to none in my opinion.
Review by David Simister
Although I am reasonably sure Zamberlan do not make these any more I was grateful to be able to buy a pair. First day and 3 degrees C solid rain and 5 miles into my daily walk my size 12 feet were purring like kittens under the duvet. 9 miles and I was astonished that they had not caused even a wince... unheard of not to have any break in issues. There is a con though beware of walking into a tree whilst admiring these these handsome Italian hoof covers Overall a five star online experience from site to fulfillment to feet. Uttings are now top of my outdoor kit needs and deservedly so.

Wasnt sure after reading only positive reviews had to be too good to be true but decided to go for it nonetheless. I have to say construction quality is impressive no compromise on the comfort and all around best boots Ive owned. Was looking for size US 13 and read mixed comments about on one hand being made small for the size (italian fit) while on the other hand being advertized as equivalent to EU48 instead of 47. Fits true to US13 in my opinion and have feet on the larger end of the spectrum that fit wonderfully.More rigid than I had expected but have no doubts they will break in like a charm. Inner/mid sole very comfortable outer sole has a bit of a rocker but feels very natural. Cant find anything negative really (but the price) although Buy It For Life as far as I can tell.

These boots would have been a solid 5 stars except for 2 things:One I find the sizing comes up a little small. I went through the whole measuring process as per Zamberlans own website and I should have been a comfortable 8. Unfortunately not.Two there was an issue with the sealant on the welt around the toe on one boot. Zamberlan had them back for a replacement. Having said this the way the return was handled was faultless.Very very comfortable boots right from the get go all be it with thinner socks than normal due to the fit. Great level of waterproofing. Grip is spot on.Look fantastic in a kind of retro way.Not cheap but on balance worth it.

Very good looking boot with a quality of manufacture. A premium product but if the reviews hold up it will last for many years.Just breaking in so not yet put to the test in anger but I expect it will meet all my expectations. Expensive but I think mostly you get what you pay for.

Quality boot as with all Zamberlan, comfortable straight out of the box.
Review by Shaun Welch

Took these boots straight from the box and complete a hard walk ascending 5000 ft over 11 mikes taking in several wainwrights. They gave me no trouble whatsoever and just look and perform great. Im a true size 8 (42) but ordered a size 9 (43) and they fit perfect.

These have to be the ultimate hiking boot better than my Meindl Borneos by far .
Review by Dan Debaerdemaecker

Great boot, have worn my nearly every day at work ( estate worker) for 2 years and the leather is still holding up really well and not cracked with out ever being looked after ( I have never applied wax or any thing to them). The only down side is the colour which is a bit bright for me but does dull after time. The only other thing is that the cushioning in sole has worn out so need to be resoled. Good hard boot.
Review by Matt Canton

Purchased a pair of these from uttings around 4 years ago. still rock solid an I'm sure they will last a life time. well worth the money. Thanks Zamberlan.
Review by Simon Fleminger

Have had this boot 1 week and taken on moderate hikes times 4. Excellent combination of support with reasonably stiff but cushioned outsole, and very comfortable for long distance walking. I have narrow ankles and moderate width forefoot - have had Zamberlans before (mountain light and civetta) and this is true to form. For me could be a little narrower in ankle. I have tried boots made of artificial materials, but none have the ability of leather to mold to shape of foot. Well worth it.

Having been a Zamberlan devotee for a number of years and walking through two pairs of Vioz boots, I am over the moon with the Tofane. Quite simply an awesome boot. Comfortable from the box. Solid and hard wearing, they look like boots should and perform even better. I worried about spending so much, but worth every penny.
