Shimano Torium 14A HG Multiplier Boat Reel. This second generation of Torium HG reels is the flagship of the star drag multiplier range. The high speed gear of 6.2:1 allows efficient use of the latest fishing techniques in both tropical and cold water oceans, for species as fast as tuna or as powerful as conger eels. The S compact body design makes the overall reel look smaller whilst still retaining the spool capacity required for versatile fishing. The use of cross carbon drag washers delivers up to 11kg of drag power that is both smooth and consistent across all settings.

Hagane Body
The HAGANE Body is a metal reel body with high rigidity. The body stiffness and impact resistance virtually eliminates body flexing. The result transforms the angler’s actions directly into cranking power. It’s efficiency through strength.

Super Stopper
Super Stopper anti-reverse uses a one-way stainless steel roller bearing that eliminates back-play.  This provides the angler with instant hook setting power.

S-ARB
Shimano S ARB bearings are high corrosion resistant ARB ball bearings with an extra shield for improved protection against sand, salt or dust.

Hypergear
The precision engineered main Hypergear transmits more power from the handle to the rotor. Designed to exacting tolerances, it requires less effort but returns more retrieve playing torque with vastly reduced component wear.

Cold Forged Aluminium
Cold Forged aluminium is used for some ‘round’ reels, fly reels and is also used for many types of spool. Made from one single piece of aluminium Cold Forging produces great strength.

Die Cast Aluminium
Diecast aluminium is used for many types of reel and is most common on fixed spool reel bodies and rotors. It is also used for spools on P4 fixed spool reels and come baitcasting models.

Clicker System
Increases the tension on Freespool and activates a clicking alarm when a fish bites.
