Im surprised how well this works. It can see in very low light conditions over considerable distance (at least 600m). It has an adjustable strength 940nm IR light and battery life is excellent. It is much better than the device I used previously (a different brand) and also much smaller and lighter. My only gripes are that the IR strength setting doesnt save between restarts so has to be set to desitred setting on each startup the eyepiece brightness setting does save however so it is possible. Also the lens cap is not attached to the device when removed so it would be easy to lose.
