Charging bottles come in various sizes and are rated at 300 bar (4351 psi). Which size to choose is a decision that only the individual can make. Size, weight and cost are all factors in this choice, but obviously the number of times a cylinder can be refilled is a also a major consideration and is directly related to the size and therefore volume of the charging bottle. Some approximate figures are quoted below for guidance. Charging bottles are supplied empty to comply with legislation. 7lt and 12lt bottles come with a rubber boot, so that the bottle can be stood up on end.
(Typical fills per bottle for a gun operating at 200 bar from empty)
3lt 300 bar bottle: approx 16 fills
7lt 300 bar bottle: approx 25 fills
12lt 300 bar bottle: approx 40 fills
Some rifles require the higher fill pressure of a 300 bar bottle - for example rifles that have buddy bottles for their reservoir work more efficiently with the larger 300 bar rated bottles (i.e BSA Super10 or Logun S-16). If you are in any doubt about compatability please contact our sales team.
